Today, myosh, a global provider of hosted and scalable safety management software solutions, is pleased to announce that it will sponsor a team at the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Charity Event for 2015. The walk will be held Sunday, 17 May 2015 at Trinity College in East Perth. Registration begins at 7:30am. All funds raised will go directly to White Ribbon – the campaign to end violence against women.
Based on the old saying, “You can’t understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes”, this international campaign has men literally slip into high heels and walk for one mile to raise awareness and funds for sexualised violence education, prevention and remediation.
This will be the city of Perth’s second Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a fun event to raise awareness and money for a serious problem. The cause aims to highlight and bring to the forefront the problem of gender violence against women worldwide.
myosh has committed to the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event for 2015, the first new organisation to do so this year. myosh has agreed to pay the $30 registration fee for any myosh employee who wants to participate and walk for the myosh team.
