New research published by EU-OSHA finds evidence for an association between psychosocial risk factors and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
Drawing on the latest European data on the impact of mental wellbeing, researchers review how psychosocial risks can contribute to and exacerbate MSDs, and MSDs can be associated with psychosocial factors. They provide recommendations for effective approaches to prevent MSDs and discuss how early interventions and support from employers and colleagues can ease workers’ return after MSD-related sick leave.
Recommendations on how to protect workers’ safety and health during the transition to telework are also available.
